Upon Michelle McKinney being notified that I was interested in selling my house she gave me her immediate attention, asked questions about the house, did some research, and then came to the house informed to meet with me without any pressure to talk to me which I found to be most valuable. I had never done business with Michelle before, but heard many positive results about her being an excellent realtor, and being a realtor that gets results. I felt like she was not just my realtor but a friend and someone I could trust.
I listed the house, and in three days I had four offers with one being several thousand more than the listing price. The listing was done very professionally, with professional pictures and done promptly after I said I wanted to sell the house. Michelle was always there for me at any time to answer questions and keep me informed. Her mother-in-law passed away during the time I was selling my house and even then she made herself available and treated me like I was a valued customer. Michelle made me feel as comfortable as possible and is definitely a realtor I would recommend to anyone who wants to buy or sell a home and feel like they valued and not just another customer. Michelle McKinney bent over backwards to get my house sold and make me as happy and comfortable with the transaction as possible. The buyers too were awesome to work with, and there was good communication between Michelle and the buyers realtor which I am sure made a difference as well.
During the week or so before closing we had a lot of rain and I didn't get the grass cut so Michelle hired someone to cut the grass after the closing! It doesn't get any better than that! Michelle listed our house in Gloucester, VA. She spent an hour going through the house initially, and gave us a 5 page list of ‘suggestions,’ stating that by completing these we would have a higher percentage of buyers look favorably at our home. She also gave us an incredibly detailed estimated settlement page with multiple offers. Michelle took several hours to take really excellent pictures. After she took the pictures, she not only chose the best ones, but she was also able to present the house in a way that it had never been presented before. We had attempted to sell this house twice before, and no one had ever taken the
time to set the pictures up as much as she did. She stated that these pictures will sell the house. Since the people who were most interested in the house were from Florida, indeed it was the pictures that sold the house. Since we were out-of-state owners, she not only represented us properly and effectively, eventually getting us an offer within 10 days in an where 60-days on the market is the norm, she was also able to be there every time that an inspection or repair company was on station. She personally took care of some of the issues that needed to be taken care of in side the house, as if it were her own. We have never seen this kind of personal care and attention from anyone in the homes which we had previously sold. But that wasn’t what impressed us. She was absolutely On Target and Timely with every last bit of communication. Communication, when you are an out-of-state owner with your realtor, is critical. There was never a question that you didn’t answer almost immediately, or never a situation in which she failed to follow up and get back with us. As I stated previously, she was our boots on the ground… We are only disappointed that this company is not in our current area because we have another home to sell.

A year ago me and my wife were working on buying our first house. I wanted to wait a year before writing any recommendation because I wanted to make sure we didn't run into any issues. After a year I have to say we couldn't have found a better realtor than Michelle. For the last year we've had no issues and everything in regards to the house that Michelle had worked on has been perfect.
I remember when we were looking at houses it always felt like she was looking out for us. We were scared to really jump into the home buying process because we thought it was going to be filled with confusing information and giant amounts of paperwork. However, Michelle made the home buying process extremely easy.
I can remember a few times that stood out where she set herself apart. At one home we were had visited. We wanted to see the roof on a covered patio. She managed to find a stump, jump up on the stump and take a look and see if it was shingled or metal. She did this while in her heels. I also worked a late shift and would have questions come to me on my way home. I would text Michelle around 11 at night and she'd be back to me within 5 minutes. When we originally put the offer in I called her around 10 PM and she answered right away. Additionally, after not writing this recommendation for a year she still sent us a Christmas card with a message about something we had talked about during our search.
We ended up buying our home from a couple that she was also helping sell the house. Despite the fact that she was working with this other family it always felt like she had out best interest at heart.
